Malaysia’s Zeti considers economic challenges facing Asia

The governor of the Bank Negara Malaysia, Zeti Akhtar Aziz, gave a speech on June 22 in which she set out the challenges facing Asian economies caused by spillovers of problems from the West, but remained positive about the region's overall strength.

Speaking at the Wharton Global Alumni Forum in Jakarta, Zeti identified turbulence in financial markets, volatile capital flows and the impact of global regulatory reforms as major risks facing the region.
