Norway's SWF must export ethics cautiously: Gjedre

Managers of the Bank of Norway's Global Pension Fund must tread carefully when trying to fulfil the sovereign fund's ethical requirements in foreign markets, said Svein Gjedrem, the governor of the central bank.

"The management of the Fund is of course subject to certain requirements. But when considering what these requirements should or should not comprise, it is important to tread carefully," he said. "Even though globalisation has reduced the emphasis on national borders, we must show
