Janet Yellen wants minority groups to benefit more from the US's economic recovery

Federal Reserve chair Janet Yellen is taking action to boost the diversity within senior posts at the Fed, and today (June 21) expressed concern that the benefits of the US's economic expansion are not being shared equally.

Yellen said it was "troubling" that although unemployment is falling across the board, rates for minority groups, such as Hispanic and African-American people, remain high.
