Norges Bank promotes two new executive directors
The executive board of the Norges Bank today appointed Amund Holmsen and Birger Vikøren as executive directors at the central bank. Both terms will begin on June 1, 2012.
Holmsen was selected for the role of executive director of the financial stability department and Vikøren will become executive director of the monetary policy department.
"We have found two directors with solid leadership skills and who are highly experienced in their field," said Norges Bank governor Øystein Olsen.
