Eulex drops corruption charges against former Kosovo governor

The European Union Rule of Law Mission (Eulex) in Kosovo does not plan to continue pursuing corruption charges lodged against Hashim Rexhepi, former governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo, after it lost an appeal.

Nicholas Hawton, head of the press office at Eulex, on January 17 said the prosecutor involved in the case would not take any further action against Rexhepi. On December 12, a Eulex judge dismissed all charges against Rexhepi in a corruption scandal that had resulted in
