New chair for Basel Joint Forum
Therese Vaughan, the chief executive of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners in the US has been selected as the new chair of the Joint Forum in Basel.
The group deals with common issues relating to the banking, securities and insurance sectors and has three parent organisations, the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision, the International Organisation of Securities Commissions and the International Association of Insurance Supervisors.
