State Bank of Pakistan left in dark over governor’s resignation

Employees at the State Bank of Pakistan have been left in the dark over the status of its governor, Shahid Kardar, after reports circulated in the press indicated he had resigned from his post at the central bank.

Reuters, a newswire, reported an official at Pakistan's finance ministry on Wednesday as saying Kardar had "submitted his resignation". However, staff at the State Bank of Pakistan who spoke to CentralBanking.com on Wednesday said they had not been made aware of any changes to the top
