CNB deputy Singer favourite to succeed Tůma as governor

Miroslav Singer, a vice governor of the Czech National Bank (CNB), is the favourite to succeed Zdeněk Tůma as governor when Tůma steps down in late June.

Reports have portrayed the battle to succeed Tůma as a two-horse race between deputy governors Miroslav Singer and Mojmír Hampl. However, Luděk Niedermayer, a former vice-governor at the Czech National Bank, told CentralBanking.com he believed Singer had the edge.
