Kohn to remain at Fed until September


Donald Kohn is to remain at the Federal Reserve a little longer following a delay in Congress appointing a replacement.

Kohn had intended to quit the Fed on 23 June when his term as vice chairman expires. However, he said he would, at the request of Fed chairman Ben Bernanke, now stay at the central bank until a new governor was appointed but would leave no later than 1 September.
