UAE governor urges sovereign funds to repatriate


The governor of the United Arab Emirates' (UAE) central bank has urged the Gulf region's sovereign wealth funds to invest their funds locally in an attempt to speed up the recovery of its economy.

Sultan Bin Nasser Al-Suwadi, the governor of the central bank, told investors at the Menasa Forum in Dubai on Monday that sovereign wealth funds should shift investments from firms in over-regulated advanced economies and invest in the local economy instead.
