Norway’s wealth fund profits again
Norway's sovereign wealth fund on Friday posted a profit for the third straight quarter on the back of gains in global equity and fixed income markets.
The Government Pension Fund-Global, which is administered by Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM), an arm of the central bank, declared a NKr103 billion ($16.6 billion) return for the first quarter of this year. The fund's performance outstripped that of the benchmark portfolio, against which it is judged, by 0.4 percentage points.
