Norway’s SWF pushes for independent chairmen


Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM) today demanded that four US companies in which it holds stakes appoint independent board chairs.

"This is something we've started this year, and we will continue to look at other markets," Anne Kvam, NBIM's head of corporate governance, told

NBIM submitted shareholder proposals to Harris Corporation, an IT and communications firm, bleach manufacturer Clorox Co., healthcare and medical supplies company Cardinal Health and Parker
