Argentina and IMF talks on loans to begin at last

USA - Argentina and the International Monetary Fund will begin talks next week on new loans to revive the economy, putting an end to a standoff that began with the nation's record breaking $155 billion debt default last year.

IMF spokesman Thomas Dawson remarked on Argentina's "substantial progress" in meeting conditions for the new talks, including modifying a bankruptcy law, rescinding the so-called economic-subversion law and cutting the budget deficits of provinces by 60 percent. He said
