NY Fed to change Treasury holdings cap

The Federal Reserve Bank of New York said on Monday 13 November it was changing the limits on its holdings of U.S. Treasury securities in its portfolio.

The limit on holdings for the Fed's system open market account would be changed "to a single 35 percent per-issue holding limit to be applied equally across the maturity spectrum," the New York Fed said in a statement.

Currently, the Fed set limits for Treasury holdings on a graduated scale, with caps for some maturities as low as 15 percent. The
