Latvian parliament approves bank's vice president

LATVIA - The Latvian parliament Thursday almost unanimously approved as central bank vice-president Andris Ruselis, recommended for the office by Bank of Latvia president.

Ruselis will be responsible for matters of cash flows and in the future also over accession of Latvia to European Monetary System and replacement of lat with euro.

After approval to the post Ruselis affirmed to reporters he is not set to launch his new job with big changes in those spheres of the bank's operations which fall in
