Greek, Turkish supervisors to exchange information

Greece's central bank said that it will sign a cooperation agreement with Turkey's Banking Regulatory and Supervisory Agency regarding the exchange of information.

The move is designed to help pave the way for each country's financial institutions to set up in their neighbouring market.

The agreement will be signed in Istanbul on 28 January and will allow for the exchange of information between the regulatory bodies.

The Bank of Greece has signed similar agreements with bank regulators from Albania
