Economic leaders choose Ottawa

CANADA - The International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank have confirmed that their delayed annual meetings will now be held in Ottawa on 17-18 November.

The meetings were originally due to be held in Washington at the end of September, but were postponed following the 11 September attacks.

In addition to the logistical disruption caused by the attacks, meeting organisers were wary of the likelihood of mass demonstrations, as previously seen at similar events in Prague, Seattle, London
