Botswana's central bank governor said on Mar 14, 2001 there was no timetable for seeking foreign loans after a rating by Moody's Investor Services this week. "We didn't have the rating with the intention to go to the international market...there have been budget supluses since the 1980s," Bank of Botswana governor Linah Mohohlo told reporters.
Mohohlo, however, said that the rating would allow the government and state companies to look at foreign borrowing at some stage in the future. On Mar 1
