Thai dep governor Kitti to leave at end of month

THAILAND - The Bank of Thailand said Monday that Deputy Governor Kitti Patpong-pibul had submitted a resignation letter to the Finance Ministry and will leave the central bank at the end of the month.

"Kitti has submitted his letter to the Ministry two weeks ago and it is expected to take effect end-January," central bank Governor Pridiyathorn Devakula told reporters, without elaborating on the cause of the resignation.

Kitti was appointed in 1998, during the tenure of former governor Chatu Mongol
