UK moves to encourage SWF investment

The British authorities on Tuesday launched a charm offensive in a bid to coax sovereign wealth funds to invest in UK business.

Speaking in London, Kitty Ussher, the economic secretary to the Treasury, said that the City of London's wealth of expertise in managing assets and its proximity to the world's financial markets made it a good place for funds to invest.

"Open and international as it has always been, London will continue to welcome commercial investment from around the world," Ussher
