MPs asked to allow arrest of Ukraine bank chief

UKRAINE - Parliament has received the Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office request for consent to arrest and prosecute the former Prime Minister Pavlo Lazarenko.

Lazarenko is suspected of involvement in the murder of National Bank of Ukraine former chairman Vadym Hetman in 1998 and people's deputy Yevhen Shcherban in 1996.
