SWFs would follow private equity guidelines

Sovereign wealth funds would be willing to enter into the voluntary code of conduct set out in the Walker Review, an influential report on private equity governance standards and transparency, the author says.

Sir David Walker, whose review was published last month, told British lawmakers on Tuesday: "I don't think it will be very difficult to get sovereign wealth funds involved.... I talked to sovereign wealth fund people in the Middle East while writing the review."
