China will strictly control new bank loans
The statement posted on the China Banking Regulatory Commission (CBRC) website quoted its chairman Liu Mingkang as saying that while China's macro economy and financial sector are developing at a fast and stable rate, "there are still some new problems that have raised our concerns."
"We need some strong action to maintain the banking industry's stable momentum," he said
