Bundesbank's Meister defends Polish regulator

Germany's central bank has criticised Poland's plans to reform its financial regulator, saying the move would isolate the country.

The move would likely be done in a way that would give the government considerable control over the watchdog.

"Poland is isolating itself within the European system and beyond," said Edgar Meister, member of the Bundesbank's board.
