Czech doubts over Brussels' supervisory proposals

Europe's supervisors should consolidate at the national level before creating new supranational bodies, said Eva Zamrazilova, a member of the board of the Czech National Bank.

Zamrazilova's comments, at the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development's (OECD) forum in Paris on Tuesday, are at odds with recent proposals from the European Commission to bring together national supervisory authorities in a European System of Financial Supervisors (ESFS).
