Afghan central bank chief on foreign currency use

Speaking at a news conference, the president of the central bank of Afghanistan, Dr Anwar al-Haq Ahadi, said that after 7 October any kind of sale and purchase of goods throughout the country should be done with the Afghan currency. The value of the Afghan currency has remained stable against foreign currencies, he said, and there is no reason to do business and exchange goods with foreign currencies.
