RBZ's Gono given increased protection

Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe governor Gideon Gono has been given increased security following a recent arson attack on his property, the Zimbabwe Standard reported.

The Standard reported on Sunday that Gono's bodyguard of security and intelligence personnel has been doubled, making him the second-most protected official in Zimbabwe after President Mugabe.

The attack on Gono's farm was probably linked to his implementation of sweeping reforms, press reports said.
