New chairman of UK FSA

Callum McCarthy, a former executive at Barclays Bank and currently chief executive of the UK's energy industry regulator Ofgem, is expected to be nameed as the next chairman of the UK's Financial Services Authority, reports the Financial Times. The report however remains unconfirmed.

Callum McCarthy, who will this week be appointed the new chairman of the Financial Services Authority, is expected to concentrate initially on resolving difficulties caused by misselling of pension and endowment
