RBI - Efforts needed to safeguard information

INDIA - The provision of adequate security has assumed urgency in banks and continuous and concerted efforts have to be made to safeguard information and information systems, the Reserve Bank of India's Deputy Governor, Vepa Kamesan, said Saturday.

"It has now become impossible to separate technology from the business of banks impacted by various developments such as internet banking and e-commerce", Kamesan said delivering the keynote address at a seminar on "Banks: Survival in Digital Era"
