Estonia cbank, govt clash over finance supervision

The Estonian central bank has said the finance ministry had unexpectedly decided to create a unified financial supervision body with the government, and was sharply critical of the plan.

"Changing positions of the finance ministry concerning unified financial supervision are causing a feeling of danger with the Bank of Estonia with regard to the further well-being of the Estonian financial system," the Bank of Estonia said.
