Data lakes and cloud are top tools for supervisory automation
Around half of authorities report extensive or full automation of supervisory data collection
Data warehouses or lakes and cloud-based systems are among the tools that supervisors tend to adopt at higher levels of regulatory data automation, data from the Supervision Benchmarks 2026 shows.
Central banks and other supervisory agencies were asked to rate the extent to which their regulatory data collection processes were automated, from one (no automation) to five (complete end-to-end automation).
