Financial risk most staffed function

Risk management team sizes vary considerably between central banks

Financial risk is on average the most staffed risk management function at central banks, the Risk Management Benchmarks 2022 shows. 

Officials at 28 of the 30 central banks participating answered how many members of staff are dedicated to financial, operational, cybersecurity, environmental, social and governance (ESG), and reputational risk.

Financial risk was the most heavily staffed with a median of five members. Operational and cyber security staff followed with medians of three and two
