Few central banks report funding problems

Only 10% of central banks say they lack adequate resources

Most of the central banks that responded to the Governance Benchmarks 2022 felt that they had the resources they needed to carry out their tasks.

Of the 30 respondents that answered the question about sufficient resources, 27 central banks, or 90%, answered yes. Another 3, or 10%, responded with a negative.

Two of these central banks are in African countries, while a third serves a small but high income non-eurozone European country.
