Most key projection models capture policy rates

But respondents rarely disclose policy rate forecasts alongside scenarios

Central bank economists widely include policy rate predictions in their key forecast models, but only a few publish these rate forecasts, data from the Economics Benchmarks 2026 shows.

The proportion of economics departments pricing policy rates into their modelling frameworks is 61.3%. Of these, only three (15.8%) indicated that they publish the forecast.
