Central bank sees Eid al-Adha festival as opportunity to boost financial inclusion

Pakistan’s central bank has launched a campaign to promote digital transactions in cattle markets ahead of the Eid al-Adha festival, which falls on May 27 this year. 

Cattle markets across Pakistan witness significant economic activity around the festival, which is one of the most significant in the Islamic calendar and involves the ritual sacrifice of animals.
