A concerted effort to implement AI has delivered efficiency gains within and across the financial sector
Most institutions are embracing artificial intelligence. However, implementing the technology in a co-ordinated and targeted manner is often easier said than done. This is particularly the case for central banks, which have a public mandate to use funds wisely.
The Bank of Namibia has adopted an organisation-wide strategy towards AI, which focuses on how the technology can help to deliver the central bank’s core mandate. It formalised a strategic roadmap for AI implementation in 2025
