Reserve managers name top bank counterparties and asset managers

Citi receives most votes as banker to reserve managers and World Bank is top asset manager

Respondents to the Reserve Benchmarks 2025 named their most favoured bank counterparties and external asset managers, with Citi and the World Bank taking the top spots.

Reserve managers were asked to name their top three bank partners and top three asset managers. The question did not specify whether these should be commercial entities – indeed, several central banks were named as counterparties. Thirty-three respondents provided data on banks and 26 provided data on asset managers.
