But Ireland’s finance minister says Gabriel Makhlouf will still take up role in September
The conduct of Ireland’s incoming central bank governor has been strongly criticised in an official report by New Zealand’s civil service ombudsman.
But Ireland’s finance minister, Pascal Donohoe, says Gabriel Makhlouf will still become governor of the Central Bank of Ireland. The Irish finance minister has the sole power to appoint the central bank governor.
