Barbados’ Williams on financial education

Announcing the launch of the National Financial Education Programme, Marion Williams, the governor of the Central Bank of Barbados, said the central bank considered financial education a central tenet of its purpose and a crucial aspect of its corporate social responsibility.

The programme is designed for employees, NGOs, community groups and service organisations and will be delivered through direct communication and a variety of mass media. Williams emphasised that the goal of the programme
