Papademos sees increased European potential growth

Lucas Papademos, the vice president of the European Central Bank (ECB), says that some countries in the eurozone have recently seen productivity-driven increases in their potential growth rate.

Speaking at a conference in Delphi (see today's SPEECHES, REPORTS, RESEARCH section), Papademos said a number of countries in the single currency area had managed to raise their potential growth rates by means of structural reforms and corporate restructuring.
