DSK: a mandate for change

The G20 summit in London has created a mandate for change, said Dominique Strauss-Kahn, the managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

"For the IMF to fulfill its mandate effectively it must have legitimacy with its members. Our voice must be respected in every corner of the world. This has not always been the case. We need to reform our governance structure to give more influence to emerging markets, speeding up a process begun over a year ago. In this context, I welcome the G20
