Emerging markets need higher inflation targets
Countries subject to higher levels of macroeconomic volatility may find it desirable to target a higher level of inflation, a new paper from the International Monetary Fund posits.
The research finds that a country with moderate to high levels of macroeconomic volatility may face substantial costs in terms of unemployment if attempting to reach price stability.
