ECB chief is reportedly founder’s top pick, but board divisions could put her election at risk
Christine Lagarde told fellow members of the World Economic Forum (WEF) board that she was “ready to serve” as its next president, according to a report by a Swiss media outlet on August 22.
Neue Zürcher Zeitung (NZZ) reported that Lagarde had made the remark at a meeting of the WEF board of trustees last week.
