UK regulator and police raid crypto ATM sites

The UK’s financial regulator has continued a crackdown on illegal crypto ATMs, as part of a joint operation with police. 

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) said it is “working with the National Economic Crime Centre to plan and co-ordinate action with law enforcement partners”. 

Crypto asset exchange providers, which include crypto ATM operators, must register with the FCA and comply with money laundering regulations. There are no crypto ATM providers registered with the FCA, meaning all
