BIS unveils 2022 programmes for innovation hubs

Focus is on CBDC, payments, DeFi, green finance, and first projects in London and Stockholm

The Bank for International Settlements (BIS) revealed its innovation hubs’ projects for 2022 today (January 25).

These include new initiatives researching central bank digital currencies (CBDCs), next-generation payments systems and decentralised finance (DeFi). Additionally, the BIS network of innovation hubs will open new projects in green finance, regulatory and supervisory technology, and cyber security.
