Bailey calls for AI kill switch ahead of regulation

FPC says technology is escalating financial stability risks and making them more intertwined

The governor of the Bank of England today (September 30) called for an artificial intelligence ‘kill switch’ to be put in place before the technology can be regulated, on the same day the financial policy committee (FPC) warned that AI was escalating risks to financial stability and making them more interconnected.
