UAE central bank launches fintech office

New office will take the lead on fintech strategy and roadmap

The Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates is to establish a new fintech office to implement its fintech strategy and roadmap.

Speaking at the Middle East Banking Forum on November 3, governor Mubarak Rashed Al Mansoori said the central bank had identified fintech as “important for development”.

The central bank developed its fintech roadmap and strategy as a result, and will establish a fintech office to “ensure financial innovation continues in the banking sector”.

The aim of the office
