Japanese business conditions improved slightly: BoJ survey
The Bank of Japan's Tankan survey, published on Thursday, shows respondents on average said business conditions in Japan had improved in the fourth quarter of 2011, but remained on average unfavourable.
The survey, based on the views of respondents interviewed between November 14 and December 14, shows the diffusion index for business conditions fell from -9 percentage points in September to -7 percentage points in December. This was much lower than the -13 percentage points forecast for the
