Pakistan to offer cash prizes to boost remittance flows
Eligible beneficiaries of remittances will be entered into lottery-style draw
The governor of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), Jameel Ahmad, has inaugurated a reward scheme that will offer cash prizes worth 16 billion rupees ($57.76 million) annually to customers who use formal banking channels for home remittances.
The Pasban Remittance Reward scheme was launched on September 25 by the Pakistan Banks Association (PBA) – the country’s representative body for banks and financial institutions that are regulated by the SBP.
According to a statement, the scheme was launched
