Reserve managers: divergent monetary policy will impact work in 2016

Survey results chart increase in number of central banks investing in renminbi

Many reserve mangers see divergent monetary policies across the globe affecting their work this year, according to survey findings in the forthcoming HSBC Reserve Management Trends 2016.

Around half of the respondents to the survey said diverging policies would have a more significant impact on reserve management than developments in China's economy or a drop in commodity prices.

While the Federal Reserve began tightening policy in December, other major central banks, including the Bank of Japan
